The team just haven't got going in the league and that was there for all to see on Saturday as they fell to a 3-0 defeat against lowly Brighton & Hove Albion, while they have only registered one point from a possible six in the Champions League so far.
It's certainty unknown territory for the Argentine in north London as Spurs have not found themselves in their current predicament before and he will be hoping to turn things around when they host Watford after the international break.
Now just behind Marco Silva and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in the running to be the next Premier League manager to lose his job, Pochettino has opened up on his relationship with chairman Daniel Levy amid question marks about his long-term future at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
"We maintain a very good relationship and it is extraordinary to have that support,” he said when speaking at the Asipre Academy global summit in Qatar.
"I have always told him that, in addition to my chairman, I consider him a friend.
"Football is not a drama, it is passion and we cannot separate it from emotions, but neither can we make a sport as fantastic as this one [all about] the latest result.
"We must learn from defeats to be able to exceed our limits and that begins by accepting that you don’t always win and that the opponent also works hard and [has] merits.
"You must always react with dignity to the result, regardless of whether it is good or bad."
