What Mauricio Pochettino did the morning after Spurs' Champions League heroics v Ajax

Tottenham Hotspur's stunning comeback against Ajax in the Champions League semi-final will go down in history.

At half-time in the second leg, the Lilywhites were 3-0 down on aggregate, they needed to score three unanswered goals after the break to reach the final.

Many felt they were a certainty to crash out of the competition.

But Lucas Moura had other ideas.

The Brazilian gave the visitors hope with a low strike on 55 minutes, restored parity four minutes later and then netted the winner in the fifth minute of stoppage time as he got on the end of Dele Alli's touch to find the bottom corner.

The goal sparked jubilant scenes inside the Johan Cruijff ArenA as well as in some parts of north London as Pochettino's side completed the most unlikeliest of comebacks to set up an all-Premier League final against Liverpool next month.

But what Pochettino did after Spurs returned to north London will delight supporters who can probably relate to the Argentine.

"We got back to the lodge at Tottenham, were sitting on the sofa, watching the repeat of the match and we opened a bottle of Argentinian red wine," Pochettino told talkSPORT.

"It was 3 o’clock that we arrived at the lodge and it was difficult to go to sleep because we were still in disbelief over what had happened a few hours before.

"It was a very relaxed moment thinking about the final, but at the same time we had a Premier League match to try and finish in the top four."
