Manchester United remain in the hunt for Ajax skipper Matthijs de Ligt.
The teenager has emerged as the hottest property in world football after some stunning performances in Ajax's run to the Champions League semi-final.
Barcelona were in pole position to land De Ligt but they are refusing to budge on their initial terms, with the player's agent Mino Raiola pushing for more money.
That has alerted United with De Ligt refusing to rule out a move to Old Trafford, despite their failure to qualify for the Champions League.
United remain hopeful of completing the stunning transfer and footage from 2018 has emerged that may stand them in good stead.
The clip, that was filmed by Ajax's official TV channel, shows De Ligt asked by teammate Frenkie de Jong about his most difficult opponent.
His answer? United star Marcus Rashford.
“That has to be Rashford, from Manchester United . Great player, quick, technical skills," De Ligt said.
Footage of the clip emerged on social media with United fans hoping Rashford can work his magic to lure De Ligt to Old Trafford.
Barcelona seemed confident they would be able to lure De Ligt to the Nou Camp, as they did with teammate and close friend De Jong.
But his and Raiola's demands appear to have moved the goalposts.
Mundo Deportivo claims alongside better wages, the defender also wants assurances he will be a first-team regular before making a decision on his future.
That is something he would be guaranteed at United, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer desperate to improve his backline this summer.
