The father of Mariam Moustafa has said the country has failed to look after his daughter after two girls were sentenced over an attack on his daughter.

Mohamed Moustafa was speaking on the steps of Nottingham Crown Court after Mariah Fraser, 20, was sent to a young offenders institution after admitting affray in connection with the attack.

Britania Hunter, now 18, received a community order for 12 months, 28 rehabilitation activity days and 40 hours of unpaid work.

A 16-year-old girl, who cannot be identified, had her case sent to the youth court with a view to making a referral order.
