What Marcelo Bielsa said in the Leeds United dressing room after Brighton loss

Jack Harrison says Marcelo Bielsa was critical of how Leeds United struggled to press Brighton's centre-backs following the Whites' 2-0 defeat on Saturday.

The Whites put in a lacklustre performance to slump to defeat against the relegation-threatened Seagulls as they struggled to create chances.

Speaking on Amazon Prime, Harrison said Bielsa did not go into detail in the dressing room but accepted the result was fair.

Harrison said: "He gave a brief overview. He likes to analyse the games in-depth and review it with us.

"He said it was a fair result, we really struggled to press their three centre-backs.

"They made it difficult for us and created more chances than us. He said it was fair enough, I know he’ll be looking back on that and ways to improve, starting on Monday."

The Whites suffered a 1-0 defeat to Brighton earlier in the season and, reflecting on both games, Harrison said his side have struggled to deal with playing against three centre-backs.

He said: "I think we found it pretty difficult to play against their formation. They were very solid defensively and made it very difficult for us.

"Yeah, I think that’s where we struggled today, but credit to them, they were very organised and made it really difficult for us."

He added: "It’s disappointing.

"We prepare so much throughout the week and then come to games really prepared and then to not get a result is really disappointing for us.

"But it’s something we’re going to look at before going into the next game, review how we played and try to improve on all the aspects we could have improved on today."
