What Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku has said about a move to Italy amid Inter Milan links

Romelu Lukaku is open to a move to Italy as reports claim Antonio Conte wants to sign him at Inter Milan.

The Manchester United forward has been linked with a move away from the club for a while and last month his agent said the 25-year-old would discuss his Old Trafford future this summer despite having three years left on his current deal.

Reports claim Conte, who is expected to be unveiled as Inter Milan boss imminently, is keen to take the Belgium international to Italy as one of his first signings.

The Italian tried to sign Lukaku from Everton two years ago but he decided instead to join United and the former Chelsea manager will feel optimistic about his chances of landing the striker given what Lukaku said last month.

"Playing in Serie A is a dream, it would be really a dream," Lukaku told Sky Sports.

"I hope to be able to play sooner or later, even if at the moment I am focused on the United."

Lukaku is open to a move and considering his options this summer and reports claim that should they get offers in a region of £75m they would be willing to sell.

The forward cast further doubt over his future before the end of the season when he was asked after the 1-1 draw against Chelsea if he would be staying at Old Trafford this summer.

“Me? I don’t know. I am not here to entertain rumours. I am still under contract," he replied.
