What Manchester United said at half-time to inspire incredible AS Roma comeback

Paul Pogba says Manchester United discussed doing 'the simple things' right during their half-time team talk during the incredible 6-2 comeback with against AS Roma.

United went in 2-1 down against the Serie A side in the first-leg of their Europa League semi final tie, before a ruthless second-half performance which saw them hit five unanswered goals.

Edinson Cavani netted a brace, Bruno Fernandes converted a penalty to add to his opener, Pogba headed home and Mason Greenwood scored late on as United all but secured a spot in the final with a sensational attacking display.

It was an irresistible display from United after the match resumed and now Pogba has lifted the lid on what was discussed in the dressing room at half-time.

The French midfielder says Ole Gunnar Solskjaer urged his side to simplify their game and that the entire side were motivated to go and score as many goals as possible.

"The result is positive but it's not finished," he told BT Sport. "We will have to say focused and play a nice game with the same mentality.

"In the first half we had two mistakes and conceded two goals. We were a bit all over the place after the second goal.

"At half-time we said let's do the right things, let's do simple things. The manager spoke. We were all motivated to score as many goals as possible."
