What Manchester United must do to qualify for the Champions League amid Liverpool FC battle

Manchester United's grip on a place in the top four weakened on Sunday after a 1-0 defeat at West Ham.

Said Benrahma scored the winner in the 27th minute after a mistake by David de Gea. The loss to David Moyes' side compounded a difficult few days which also saw the Reds lose at Brighton and Hove Albion.

Liverpool's victory over Brentford and Tottenham Hotspur's win against Crystal Palace on Saturday made them the big winners in the race for the top four as Newcastle, Aston Villa and Brighton all suffered defeats. With the battle for Champions League qualification now hotting up, MEN Sport has taken a look at what United need to do to reach Europe's elite competition.
