What Man Utd fans are saying about Paul Pogba in clash with rivals Leeds

Manchester United fans couldn't believe what they were seeing from Paul Pogba in their friendly clash with Leeds United on Wednesday.

The rival clubs faced off at the Optus Stadium in Perth for the first time since 2011, when United beat Leeds 3-0 at Elland Road.

Pogba started the match for the Red Devils amid speculation he wants to leave Manchester United for a new challenge this summer.

And fans were delighted with the effort he put in as he dominated the park and bridged the gap between midfield and attack.

"Some people think we don't need Pogba," tweeted one fan.

Another added: "Pogba is the best midfielder in the world," and a third concluded: "Paul Pogba came out wanting blood today."

Pogba dropped a hint earlier in the summer that he wanted out at Manchester United, telling the press he needs a 'new challenge'.

This was followed by claims he was going to snub travelling abroad on United's pre-season tour of Australia and the Far East.

Solskjaer recently addressed Pogba's comments, revealing he has spoken to the France international and believes he can give him the new challenge he craves.

"I've said many times about Paul that he's a top, top boy and a great player and he's never, ever been a problem," said the Red Devils boss.

"When we get him playing as he did when I came in, and if we get him playing like that again, he will even win you lot over as well.

"I've not been upset by anything he's said because we've had many conversations and I know exactly what Paul is thinking. I can give him a new challenge."
