What Man City players have been doing on holiday

If any squad deserves a rest after last season, it is Manchester City.

Four trophies was the reward for a 60-game season, but playing at such a high standard is bound to take a toll on any player.

Pep Guardiola made sure to rotate his side wherever possible, but will be grateful that most have a summer off to recharge their batteries.

City will know that Champions League winners Liverpool will push them hard again in the Premier League in 2019/20, so will try hard to be in the best possible shape going into the new campaign.

And before pre-season begins in July, Guardiola's men have been relaxing on holiday in all corners of the globe.

Here, we take a look at what they've been up to.

Raheem Sterling

The City winger is spending time with his young family in the USA this summer, regularly posting pictures of his children enjoying the sun and sea.

Kevin de Bruyne

De Bruyne is also enjoying some family time - and it appears he's missing the basketball.

Bernardo Silva

Arguably City's best player last season, Bernardo won the Nations League after his exploits with City over the season.

He's spent time in Miami with friends since then, and still found time to start a 'war' with Raheem Sterling!

David Silva

The Magician has been back home in Spain with his family, and posted this lovely photo with his son.

Benjamin Mendy

Recovering from knee surgery, Mendy has been hard at work in the gym in Barcelona.

Danilo

Linked with an exit from City, Danilo has been enjoying his time off despite being left out of the Brazil squad for the Copa America.

Aymeric Laporte

The defender is set to be City's first choice centre-back next season, and he is preparing by spending time with his family back in Spain.

Ilkay Gundogan

The City and Germany midfielder has been biking around San Diego.

Eliaquim Mangala

Without a City appearance in 18 months, Mangala is still working hard on his fitness with another year to run on his contract.
