What Man City fans might have missed from post-Fulham training session

There was no sign of Sergio Aguero in Manchester City's Sunday warm-down after Saturday's 2-0 win against Fulham at Craven Cottage.

The Argentine forward, who doubled the Blues' lead against the Whites, was not spotted partaking in training with the rest of the City squad at the CFA.

Aguero limped off with a knock on 57 minutes but City boss Pep Guardiola said the substitution was merely a precaution.

“Tomorrow we have the real assessment, he says he felt something but not injured," he said. "For precaution he decided not to continue, hopefully it’s nothing serious.”

Bernardo Silva opened the scoring before Aguero's 27th-minute strike, with the victory firing City back to the top of the Premier League table.

The one-point lead over Liverpool lasted 24 hours before Jurgen Klopp's side snatched a late winner to beat Tottenham 2-1 at Anfield.

City can move back to the top of the table on Wednesday with a win at home against Cardiff, and could have Phil Foden, Vincent Kompany and Benjamin Mendy available to them.

The trio missed the trip to Fulham but were involved in City training on Sunday.

John Stones also featured, as did Leroy Sané and Riyad Mahrez - Stones' fellow substitutes from the win in west London.
