Tom Brady isn’t easily impressed. So, it takes a lot for the Tampa Bay Bucs’ QB to be wowed. And that is what he was when he saw the incredible way an Alabama high school game ended Friday.
After watching Hillcrest’s nine-lateral, three-fumble miracle touchdown that defeated Wetumpka, 34-30, Brady weighed in via social media.
“This is why we love football!!!” Brady tweeted Saturday afternoon.

Here’s how USA Today’s High School Wire handled the play.
“It’s hard to make sense of it watching it live, obviously, then going back and watching it several times at this point,” Hillcrest coach Sam Adams said Saturday. “My hope is that play is a billboard for the kind of kids that we have. There was no panic involved. Obviously we’re in a pretty desperate situation right there, but they were prepared and there was a great amount of poise in the middle of an immense amount of chaos.”
The coach told the Tuscaloosa News he watched the play several times and still can’t figure everything out.
“At the end of the day, it’s a lot of little kids, backyard football,” Adams said.
