Champions League holders Liverpool need a result in their match of the group stages if they want to go a step closer to reaching a third-consecutive final
Jurgen Klopp’s side - having suffered their only defeat in all competitions this season away at Napoli - were held at Anfield by Carlo Ancelotti’s side, taking their qualification hopes to the final game.
Tonight, they face Austrian side Red Bull Salzburg, who themselves gave Liverpool a scare when they last met.
Liverpool raced into a 3-0 first-half lead in that game, only for the visitors to stun them with an amazing comeback to level the match.
It would take a second strike of the night from Mohamed Salah to seal the points.

What Liverpool need to qualify and full Group E permutations
A point for Liverpool in Salzburg will guarantee Klopps’s side a place in the knock-out stages, but they can also get there should Napoli lose to Genk.
Napoli also need only a point to progress, but could even go through after a defeat if Liverpool lose.
Salzburg will progress with a win against Liverpool and if Napoli do not beat Genk. If Napoli win, the Austrian’s must beat Liverpool by a better scoreline than the 4-3 by which they lost against them on Matchday 2 to trump the Reds with a strong head-to-head record
Genk, regardless of the result against Napoli, will finish bottom.
