The young Holland international towered above the Spurs defenders to head home from a corner to put Ajax ahead in the second leg of the semi-final.
The early goal puts the Dutch side in a brilliant position as they now lead their Premier League opposition by two goals to nil on aggregate.
And should Ajax progress to the final they will face Liverpool, who beat Barcelona 4-0 (4-3 on aggregate) on an incredible night at Anfield on Tuesday.
