What Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has said about Man City & Tottenham that Spurs fans will love

It was a dramatic night on Wednesday as Tottenham knocked Manchester City out of the Champions League after an enthralling contest at the Etihad Stadium.

City won 4-3 on the night, but Spurs progressed on away goals, having won 1-0 in the first leg, with the tie ending up 4-4 on aggregate.

Tottenham now go through to play Ajax in the semi-finals of the competition, while Manchester City are left to focus on the Premier League title race with Liverpool, as City and Spurs prepare to meet again in the league tomorrow (Saturday) at the Etihad Stadium.

And Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has given his view on the game and been full of praise for Mauricio Pochettino's men.

"It's unbelievable, I really felt for them [Manchester City]," he said, speaking at his pre-match press conference ahead of Liverpool's game with Cardiff City in the Premier League on Sunday.

Liverpool lodge special request to move into Tottenham Hotspur's new stadium this summer

"I know some people said without VAR it's a clear goal, but we're still having discussions about it. It was offside in the moment, but it was tough to take. Big compliments to Tottenham.

Mauricio Pochettino reveals what Pep Guardiola said after he threw his coat away over VAR call

"I said at the start of the season they had the toughest summer not because they didn't sign anyone but because they only had two weeks off.

"To score three at City, of course they deserve it. Whether it has an influence on the league I have no idea. We will see that."
