What Leon Bailey has said about a Premier League transfer amid Tottenham and Everton links

With the summer transfer window now in full flow, clubs are starting to make their moves in order to strengthen their squads ahead of the new season.

Tottenham will be no different as Jose Mourinho looks to continue to put his own stamp on the side during his first summer window as Spurs boss.

The club are on the verge of completing their first transfer of the summer, with Southampton midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg set to join after successful negotiations with the Saints.

Kyle Walker-Peters will also be going the other way as he makes his loan move away from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium permanent.

Another name to be recently linked with Tottenham is Bayer Leverkusen winger Leon Bailey.

German publication Sport1 claim that Spurs are one of the teams keeping an eye on the Jamaican international alongside fellow Premier League side Everton.

The player’s new agent Aidy Ward has also opened the door for a Premier League move this summer.

And previous comments from the player himself indicates that he would jump at the chance to make a Premier League move this summer.

“Fundamentally, my dream has always been, and still is, to play in England,” the 22-year-old said last year.

“If I continue to work hard, I am sure that it will work out.”

Bailey scored five times and provided a further three assists in 22 Bundesliga appearances for Leverkusen during the 2020/21 campaign.
