What Leeds United fans are saying about Marcelo Bielsa after loss to Wigan Athletic

Marcelo Bielsa started trending on Twitter this evening across the UK as Leeds United fans aired their frustration following a 1-0 defeat at home to Wigan Athletic.

Bielsa opted to play the same team that beat Millwall last time out, as new striker Jean-Kevin Augustin, who arrived on Monday, was left out of the matchday squad while he continues to get up to speed to his new head coach's methods.

This led to frustration among certain fans after the 1-0 defeat, with Joe Williams' corner taking a deflection and ending up in the back of the net after Kiko Casilla failed to punch it away for the only goal of the game.

Some Leeds supporters have shared their frustrations following the match, questioning Bielsa's selection decisions. Other, however, have quickly jumped to defend the Argentine, who's side still sit in the automatic promotion places.

Here is a look at the some of the debate among the fans:

West Bromwich Albion have now jumped back above United and Bielsa's men also now only lead third-placed Fulham by three points with 16 matches left in the Championship season.

Considering that last season's charge for automatic promotion was hindered by losing at home to Wigan, it's clear fans are frustrated for multiple reasons.

It's Nottingham Forest next up on the road for Leeds in their next fixture.
