What Kostas Tsimikas did to Mohamed Salah's match ball after Liverpool beat Manchester United

Liverpool’s win over Manchester United will live long in the memory, especially for one player in particular.

The Reds claimed a historic 5-0 victory over their old rivals in the Premier League clash at Old Trafford, to move back up to second place in the table.

Naby Keita opened the scoring early in the first half, before Diogo Jota bagged another soon after.

Then it was the turn of Mohamed Salah, who scored a hat-trick to help sink United in their own backyard.

It was Salah’s first hat-trick this season, and takes his tally for the campaign to 10 in the Premier League and 15 in all competitions.

As is customary when a player scores a hat-trick, Salah was awarded the match ball for his efforts.

While celebrating the win with his team mates on the Old Trafford pitch, one Liverpool player decided to be a little bit cheeky.

Kostas Tsimikas, who has formed a friendship with Salah since arriving from Olympiacos last summer, can be seen on video filmed by Sky Sports taking the ball away from Salah in a joke.

The Greece international promptly returns the ball to Salah, and the pair share a good laugh about the joke and the win.
