What Kemar Roofe had to say after joining Rangers as striker signs long term contract

Kemar Roofe has spoken about how impressed he was after a quick look around the Rangers "environment".

The 27-year-old striker completed his move to the Ibrox club this afternoon, signing a four year deal.

The ex Anderlecht and Leeds United forward can't wait to join up with his teammates this week, and play in front of the Rangers fans when it's safe to do so.

He told Rangers TV that a quick look around the facilities at the club told him all he needed to know about the standards being set by those in charge.

He said: "Coming here to the training ground, to see the environment, to see the staff, you realise this is serious. This is a big place. The main goal is to win and get success again.

"As a footballer you want to keep testing yourself and you also want to be playing at the biggest clubs possible. Unfortunately, the times now with COVID means the fans won't be there. But when it all gets resolved the atmosphere will be incredible.

"In my past I've been blessed to be able to play in front of the Leeds fans and the Anderlecht fans, and now this is another step. It's going to be incredible."

Roofe can play anywhere in a front three, but is probably most used to being the central striker. He is known for his all-action style and impressive link-up play.
