What Kai Havertz did to Bernd Leno on Instagram after scoring for Chelsea against Arsenal

Kai Havertz has picked up where he left off for Chelsea.

The Germany international's last appearance for the Blues saw him net the winner in the Champions League final against Manchester City, going a long way to paying off his £71m transfer fee from last summer.

And his first game back following Euro 2020 saw him open the scoring as Chelsea beat Arsenal in a pre-season friendly at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Latching on to a pass from Timo Werner as the Gunners were exposed on the counter-attack, Havertz needed one touch to control the ball before smashing an effort into the net with his second.

It was certainly the finish of a player brimming with confidence and next season could be a special one for the 22-year-old.

And Havertz had a cheeky response to the goal on social media.

As spotted by Chelsea fans on Reddit, Havertz uploaded a picture to his Instagram Stories of him just about to peel off to celebrate as Bernd Leno looked on.

Interestingly, Havertz tagged the Arsenal goalkeeper in the post.

Of course, this is nothing more than friendly banter on Havertz's behalf as it was revealed by Leno last year that he and the Chelsea star have remained good friends following their time together at Bayer Leverkusen.

"Julian Brandt, Jonathan Tah, Kai Havertz and Timo Werner," he said during a Reddit Q&A session with Arsenal fans. "I'm still in touch with all of them.

"Brandt now plays for Dortmund but we are good friends. We also spent a lot of time together when we played for Leverkusen, playing PlayStation and going for dinner too.

"I'm always happy to see them when we're all together in the national team. These are my biggest mates from Leverkusen and the national team."
