What Juventus boss Max Allegri has said about Tottenham vs Ajax in the Champions League

Tottenham travel to Amsterdam to take on Ajax in the second leg of their Champions League semi-final on Wednesday.

Spurs will have to overturn a 1-0 deficit after their defeat at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Tuesday night.

They will have Son Heung-min available to them after the South Korean missed the first leg due to suspension, but they still have a number of injury concerns.

Harry Kane and Harry Winks will definitely miss out, while it remains to be seen if Jan Vertonghen, who suffered a nasty head injury during the first leg, will make it.

The boost that could give Tottenham the upper hand ahead of Champions League second leg vs Ajax

Missing players made it difficult for Spurs in the first leg and it might not get any easier come Wednesday, with Spurs having to play almost half the match against Bournemouth on Saturday with nine men, following red cards for Son Heung-min and Juan Foyth.

Juve boss Massimiliano Allegri believes the Dutch giants have got "lucky".

Speaking to Sky Italia, as per SoccerNews.NL , he said: "The Champions League is always a goal, just like the Scudetto and the Coppa Italia. It is a difficult goal to achieve.

"Sometimes it just happens. Ajax played against us while we were five players down. They then have to face Tottenham Hotspur in London, who also miss their two best attackers. Ajax is a good team, but they were lucky to get to where they are."
