Liverpool were fortunate to be level with Manchester City at half-time, after the visitors largely had the better of Jurgen Klopp's men before the break.

Pundit Roy Keane highlighted what Klopp was telling his players from the Liverpool dugout.

He told Sky Sports during the half-time analysis: "Jurgen Klopp looked like he was shouting from the bench 'be brave' but it’s hard to be brave when you haven’t got the ball.
"But I think Liverpool are playing, for all the success they have had, as if they’re out of their depth as if they’re a lower league team in the FA Cup playing a big team.
"They’re stepping back, not getting close to people. The quality Man City are showing Liverpool need to be more aggressive.
"People say lack of energy but when a team like Man City dominate the ball you look like you’ve got no energy but because you can’t get near people."

James Milner faced a difficult test up against Phil Foden, with the 21-year-old having a penalty shout and the Liverpool man getting booked before half-time.
Sadio Mane opened the scoring for the Reds in the second half, before Foden equalised for the away side.
