What Jurgen Klopp said to Neco Williams in tunnel after Liverpool win against Nottingham Forest

Jurgen Klopp shared a light-hearted exchange with former Liverpool defender Neco Williams after Saturday's 3-2 home win over Nottingham Forest.

Williams levelled for the visitors in the 51st minute of the match courtesy of a driven strike, which deflected off Andy Robertson and past Alisson Becker in goal. The 22-year-old refused to celebrate out of respect for the Reds, having spent 15 years at the club in total.

The right-back's effort would, fortunately, have no bearing on the full-time result as Liverpool scored in the 55th minute through Diogo Jota before Mohamed Salah notched with 20 minutes remaining to secure a much-needed victory.

In footage shown on Inside Anfield, Klopp can be heard saying "it was deflected" in reference to Williams' second-half strike. Responding in humorous fashion, Williams said: "It was on target, though, so it’s a goal!”

Taking to Twitter after the game, Williams posted the following message: "We keep fighting to the end. Was nice to return back to Anfield."
