What Jota said to N'Golo Kante as former Celtic star lives it up with Karim Benzema and Chelsea hero in Saudi Arabia

Jota received a hero's welcome as he checked in to Al-Ittihad and even got the chance to chat with his new teammates.

The former Celtic star sent shockwaves around the east end of Glasgow when he sealed a £25million move from the Treble-winning champions to the Saudi Pro League. The Middle East is fast becoming a hot-bed for some of world football's biggest names, with Cristiano Ronaldo starting the trend last year and the likes of top stars in ex-Real Madrid forward Karim Benzema and former Chelsea star N'Golo Kante following suit.

And the two aforementioned Champions League winners will spearhead the Saudi Pro League champions with Jota hoping to learn from some of the best, as he was snapped enjoying a sitdown chat in a cafe with the duo. Another clip shared to Ittihad's English Twitter account shows the trio being showered with yellow roses upon their arrival in Jeddah, with the segment about the Portuguese winger being filmed with Elie Dixon's rendition of 'Jota on the wing' in the background.

The 24-year-old penned his own emotional Celtic exit video talking about the 'special' memories he had in Glasgow. But in the meet-up clip, he meets Kante who asks: "How are you, are you good?" to which Jota replies "Yeah good, did you have a nice travel?" He then asks "Are you happy?" and Kante says "Yeah, good good," before the pair discuss their journeys to Jeddah.

Kante then says in a video message to fans: "Hello Al-Ittihad fans, hope you are well, I just arrived in Jeddah with a welcome. We are excited to start and we will see you very soon." In a separate clip, Jota said: “I am very happy to be here, I hope you are all well and I hope to see you very soon."

It's been a busy week for the former Celtic who seemed at a ease at a summit in Jeddah, as plans are laid out for all three to bring successive titles to Ittihad.
