What Jose Mourinho did after Man City VAR penalty decision against Tottenham

The first half of Tottenham's Premier League clash against Manchester City on Sunday was full of drama and VAR took centre stage in a meeting between the two sides once again.

After the infamous disallowed goal in the quarter-finals of the Champions League last season in Spurs' favour, a VAR rivalry has developed in the meetings between the two side.

This time, it was City who benefitted from a VAR decision as Serge Aurier was penalised for a foul on Sergio Aguero - but it took a full two minutes for the decision to be announced.

After initially playing on, with Mike Dean showing his view was that Aurier got the ball, VAR corrected the call - and Jose Mourinho's reaction on the sidelines was quickly shown.

Sat in his chair, the animated experienced manager couldn't help but chuckle at the decision as, although replays showed it was the right call, Mourinho would have likely been unimpressed with how long it took for the decision to be made.

However, he soon had the last laugh anyway was Ilkay Gundogan's effort was saved by Hugo Lloris - who was then subject to another VAR decision after he charged off his line and Raheem Sterling was sent tumbling.

However, the VAR call decided that the French goalkeeper had got the ball and that no further action was warranted - but the incident riled up the fans inside the stadium.
