Rio Ferdinand has shared what Tottenham goalkeeper Joe Hart told him about his Spurs teammate Tanguy Ndombele during the FA Cup victory against Wycombe.
Spurs suffered a scare against their Championship opponents, falling behind in the first half before Gareth Bale equalised just before the interval.
Jose Mourinho's side faced a similar battle in the second period before Harry Winks finally fired Spurs ahead four minutes from time, with Ndombele then adding further gloss to the scoreline with two fantastic goals.
The introduction of the France midfielder turned the tide of the game for the Premier League side and it wasn't just those watching on who were left impressed.
During the match, Hart was asked about Ndombele by former England teammate Ferdinand, who was on punditry duty for the clash, and waxed lyrical about his colleague.
"I said to Joe, how good is he? And he said 'this kid is a world beater, he can do anything.' He just turned around during the game and said 'this kid is unplayable'," Ferdinand told BT Sport.
The former Manchester United defender echoed Hart's praise for the midfielder, hailing his impact after his introduction off the bench.
"He came on and the game immediately changed because he can draw people in, beat a man one v one and then play the pass. His finish was so nonchalant it's frightening. The two defenders were put all over the place.
"This guy, in terms of individual brilliance, has shown why Jose Mourinho has persevered with him because his talent is endless."
