What Joao Felix did to 'embarrass' Conor Gallagher and Lewis Hall ahead of Chelsea vs West Ham

Joao Felix appears to be ready and raring to go ahead of his Chelsea return against West Ham at the weekend. David Moyes' side are set to welcome the Blues to the London Stadium on Saturday afternoon, February 11, as the race for top four builds up a head of steam.

After missing the previous three Premier League clashes due to suspension, Felix will be eager to build upon his excellent debut for the west Londoners. Graham Potter's side have proved to miss the Atletico Madrid star, with Chelsea finding the net just once in his absence.

Ahead of Felix's highly-anticipated return, Blues supporters have been teased by the club's in-house media team with a video of the Portugal international in training — and he looks set to pick up from where he left off. The forward drifted past Conor Gallagher with ease before flicking the ball over a lunging challenge from Lewis Hall.

Now through on goal and one-versus-one with the goalkeeper, Felix shifted the ball onto his left foot before slotting his strike into the bottom corner. Chelsea fans will be desperate to see the Portuguese star in action against West Ham at the weekend, with Potter's side struggling in the final third.

Upon Felix's arrival to Stamford Bridge, the Blues boss was excited to welcome the forward to the club. He said: "He is a quality player, and he will make a difference in the final third of the pitch.

"He is young, but has really good experience. The signing gives everybody a lift," Potter added. "He is a good age and he can play as a second striker between the lines and making a difference in the final third. We are looking forward to working with him.

"There is always an unknown going from country to country, and there's always an adaptation period but in terms of how long that takes can go from player to player. I see a confident person and player that can impose himself on the game.

"His personality traits are that he can take the ball in tight spaces and make passes. He compliments what we have, he is a nice addition as clearly he is a talented player who can help the team."
