Japhet Tanganga really has made a name for himself in the Tottenham team over the past month.
Handed his senior debut by Mauricio Pochettino back in September for the Carabao Cup clash against Colchester United, the defender had to wait until the turn of the year for his next appearance.
Missing out in the FA Cup against Middlesbrough, it was the following week when he appeared for the first team as Jose Mourinho threw him in for the clash against runaway leaders Liverpool.
The 20-year was excellent on his league debut and he has since become a key part of the defence in recent weeks.
Tanganga, who has so far made six appearances this season, has filled in at left-back in recent weeks and it will be interesting to see if he remains in the side with Ben Davies now back in training.
Asked in the club's matchday programme when was the last time he cried, the player revealed that his emotions got the better of him just before the Liverpool game.
"I cried before the Liverpool game, when I made my debut," he said. "They were just tears of joy and it was just overwhelming.
"I was sitting in my room and it came out but then I was like, 'come on, fix up, you have a game today', so I got up showered and got ready.
"I had just been waiting for that moment to get my opportunity, my dad had been waiting for it too and it just hit me.
"If you had told me a week before the Liverpool game that I would have been playing, I would have laughed.
"Things have changed so much."
