James Maddison was captured on camera whispering something to Mohamed Salah moments before the Liverpool star missed a crucial first half penalty, during the Reds’ 1-0 defeat to Leicester on Tuesday.
Salah was awarded the spot kick after he was tripped by Foxes midfielder Wilfred Ndidi in the 14th minute of the game.
The 29-year-old boasted a formidable record from 12 yards, only missing two of his last 20 for the Reds.

However, whilst Salah was waiting for the referee’s whistle Maddison was caught talking to Egypt star, no doubt in an attempt to put him off. The Foxes midfielder then stood directly behind him during his run up.
Salah’s penalty was subsequently saved by Foxes goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel and his follow up header cannoned off the bar.
The miss proved costly as in the second half Ademola Lookman scored the only goal of the game to seal only a second Premier League defeat of the season for Jurgen Klopp’s side.
The result left Liverpool six points behind league leaders Manchester City, and level pegging with third placed Chelsea.
The Reds now face a blockbuster trip to face Thomas Tuchel’s side on January 2.
