Wales finished third in their Euro 2020 group as a result of their loss to Italy and Switzerland's win against Turkey.

In Baku, Switzerland secured a XXX triumph against Turkey.
And following a significant goal swing on the final day of the group stages, Wales were leapfrogged by Switzerland in the standings.
It means Italy and Switzerland have confirmed their place in the last-16 while Wales now face a wait to discover if they will be involved in the knockouts.
The Red Dragons have four points from their three group games which should almost certainly be enough to ensure they progress.
The top two sides in all six groups automatically progress into the knockout stages. The remaining four last-16 places will go to the four-best third-placed sides.
The third-placed duo of Slovakia and Republic of Ireland progressed into the knockout stages of Euro 2016 having claimed four points from the nine on offer in the group phase.
Northern Ireland and eventual champions Portugal both went through with just three points. Turkey and Albania were the unlucky pair to miss out having amassed the same points total, although their inferior goal difference proved costly.
When it comes to determining the four best third-placed sides, if required, teams will be separated by the following criteria: points total, goal difference, goals scored and then wins.
If they still can't be separated after these tiebreakers, the country with the best disciplinary record through the tournament will go through.
In the unlikely scenario that these tiebreakers still don't separate the sides, then it will come down to the position they hold in the overall European qualifiers rankings.
So let's look at the current state of play by going through each group.
Group B
If Denmark beat Russia or Belgium beat Finland (OR draw if Wales don't lost by MORE THAN 3 V ITA), Wales will be above whoever finishes third in this group.
Group C
This group will almost certainly be of benefit to Wales, as long as there is no draw between Ukraine and Austria tomorrow. (If Wal lose by more than 1 v ITA THEY'D MISS OUT W/DRAW - 1-0 LOSS THEN THEY'RE GUARANTEED TO BE BETTER THAN THIS GROUP)
Group D
A win for either England or Czech Republic (with the loser suffering a damaging goal difference) could ensure the third-placed side in this group finishes below Wales. The same applies for if Croatia or Scotland only secure a narrow win in their meeting in Glasgow. If Croatia v Scotland ends in a draw then Wales are guaranteed to finish above the third placed side in this pool.
Group E
This group is wide open. And it's pretty impossible to predict how it will pan out. But given how tight it is (three points separate Sweden, Slovakia, Spain and Poland), then it could easily work out in Wales' favour.
Group F
You would expect Germany to beat Hungary in the final game which would lift them on to six points, but even a draw would be OK. That means Wales could then do with France beating Portugal which would see the Red Dragons have a point more than the reigning Euro champions.
