In the aftermath of disasters such as the earthquake in Nepal or the Ebola epidemic, countries often struggle to get back on their feet.

The Guardian, alongside Crown Agents, is bringing a panel of experts for an evening seminar to discuss the most effective means of giving disaster-stricken countries support.

As a catastrophe unfolds, how do you give the right support so that minimal damage is done to infrastructure and social cohesion, and what areas should be prioritised once serious re-construction can begin? With recent coalitions of disaster relief organisations, where does our collective responsibility end?
