You may have seen some videos on social media and sports sites like ours that focus on the “Bottle Cap Challenge.” You may have seen people — a few of them are famous folks — kicking the tops of water bottles and being wowed and wondering if it’s all fake.
If so, and if you’ve wondered what was up with all of that, don’t be too alarmed. We’re here to help with an explanation and a roundup of the challenge that’s gone viral.
What’s this now?
It’s called the Bottle Cap Challenge, or #BottleCapChallenge.
How does it work?
Basically you set up a bottle of anything, then do a spinning kick to unscrew the cap off the top of it without knocking the bottle down, something that no doubt seems wayyyy harder than it looks.

Mashable thinks it’s possible this video from last month could be the first:
