Olive Garden is known for its tasty pasta selection, but this one TikToker might have been put off for life. In an 8-second clip that has amassed 1.7 million views, TikToker @420b1unts shared a video of her Olive Garden meal. In short, it shows a full, honking great sausage simply thrown on top of a bowl of pasta.
“Just tell them you don’t like it,” one voice could be heard saying.
As the TikToker and fellow diners giggled at the delicacy, someone asked, “What the [expletive] is this?”
They once again collapsed into laughter.
“What did you order so I know not to order this?” one commenter asked. To which OP replied, “I got the endless pasta, girl I was experimenting atp.”
Another commenter also replied to this question. They noted, “I’ve ordered the same thing but with their cheese raviolis with meat sauce they asked me if I wanted a ‘side of sausage’ and they put a whole sausage in the middle of my raviolis.”
“They did that to me last year too,” a third commenter shared, adding a photo of an identical bowl of pasta.
A fourth asked, “Seriously, why is nobody answering? WHAT IS THAT?”
While a fifth chimed in and joked, “Never seen Shaboingboing pasta on the menu.”
One current and one former Olive Garden worker also confirmed that this is common practice for the restaurant chain.
“This is Italian sausage, I served a few when I worked there, and I always thought it was diabolical they never cut it up lol,” one said.
“As someone who works at Olive Garden, you always get a full piece of sausage when you order sausage,” another explained.

A similar situation happened on Reddit
Last year, a similar-looking bowl of Olive Garden pasta went viral on Reddit. The user posted two images: one of a whole sausage balanced on top of a bowl of carbonara, and another of the sausage between Olive Garden bread. They accompanied the post with an explanation: “Olive Garden gave me a single sausage with my pasta, so I made a hot dog with it.”
Fellow Reddit users were similarly bemused. “It looks like someone took a [expletive] on the plate and then passed it to someone who vomited on it,” one wrote.
“Trust me when I say Olive Garden is much worse than you remember it being,” another added.
While a third noted, “This looks horrendous but I know it tasted fire, Olive Garden breadsticks as a hotdog bun sounds like the most delicious bun ever.”
Darden Restaurants didn’t immediately respond to The Mary Sue’s request for comment via email.
