What is Antonio Brown’s trade value?

Addressed the media on Wednesday ahead of the NFL combine, Pittsburgh Steelers general manager Kevin Colbert said the team will begin seeking out a trade partner for wide receiver Antonio Brown. Colbert was also very clear the Steelers are not going to offer any discounts just to give Brown the trade he wants. But what is a fair value for Brown in a trade?

If the Steelers could land a second-round pick for Brown, they should count themselves lucky, especially in the top half of the round. In this draft class, pick No. 20 and pick No. 50 aren’t going to be that different in terms of talent. Getting a pick in that range would be a win.

But the Steelers might be holding out for a first-round pick, and they have every right to do it. But they will be hard-pressed to find a team willing to give up this kind of draft currency for a talented but troubled player.
