What is a Premier League deal sheet and when must Arsenal submit it for Thomas Partey transfer?

The transfer window closes tonight.

And clubs across the Premier League are frantically working to get final deals over the line.

Among those are Arsenal, with the £45million signing of Thomas Partey close to completion.

The summer transfer window closes at 11pm on Monday, October 5, and the deals must be done by that time.

However, while the transfer window officially closes at 11pm, there is an opportunity for Arsenal, and others to complete deals after the deadline but only in special circumstances.

Here’s everything you need to know.

Transfer Deadline Day - deals from around the league so far

What is a deal sheet?

Clubs sometimes conclude deals at the last minute and it is not always easy for them to get everything completed and sent over by the deadline.

The deal sheet allows a club to confirm that a deal has been reached in order to allow for additional time to submit the remaining documentation.

How is it used?

It must be submitted between 9pm and 11pm and gives clubs the opportunity to have an extra two hours to tie everything up.

However, if a club is looking to complete an international signing, the deal must be concluded by the FIFA Transfer Matching System deadline of midnight.
