What Illinois Democrats are doing Wednesday at the convention

On day three of the virtual Democratic National Convention, Mayor Lori Lightfoot appears Wednesday at a Black Caucus meeting and at an LPAC event, a top Democratic lesbian political action committee.

Both events were prerecorded, according to Lightfoot’s political office.

The Democratic Party of Illinois will hold a virtual press briefing at 1 p.m before the delegation meeting where the theme today is “Fighting for Economic and Racial Justice.”

The briefers are Mary Morrissey, executive director, Democratic Party of Illinois; Lt. Gov. Juliana Stratton; Treasurer Michael Frerichs; and Marie Newman, Democratic candidate for Illinois’ 3rd Congressional District.

The virtual delegation meeting runs from 6:30 to 8 p.m. when the convention program starts.

Here’s the lineup for tonight’s program on “Fighting for Economic and Racial Justice.”
