What has Joe Lolley said about his Nottingham Forest future?

Aston Villa are said to have designs on luring Nottingham Forest Player of the Season Joe Lolley to Villa Park.

Having won promotion to the Premier League via the play-off final at Wembley, Dean Smith’s side are reportedly preparing a £10m bid for the winger.

It is not the first time Lolley has been linked with the club he supported as a boy, while Crystal Palace, Watford and West Bromwich Albion were also said to have taken an interest earlier in the campaign.

The 26-year-old was rewarded for his sparkling form for the Reds as he penned a new four-year deal in February.

And as he picked up the Player of the Season trophy earlier this month, Lolley said he was committed to the club.

Asked if he saw his future being at the City Ground, he said at the time: “I do, yes.

“I signed a deal in February. I signed that because I want to stay here, because I want to be here. I do not see that changing, to be honest.

“I know football is a crazy game in that respect. But yes, I see my future here and I don’t really see that changing.

“I have bought a house around Nottingham and I enjoy the area. I like it here and I love the club.

"I enjoy playing my football here. I am not looking to change or anything like that. I am happy here.”

Lolley made 51 appearances in the Garibaldi this season, scoring 12 goals in all competitions and weighing in with 11 assists in the Championship.
