After months of trying to study from home for most of them, Merseyside's schoolchildren returned to the classrooms this week as the schools went back for their autumn term.
Despite days and weeks of preparations and most people enjoying a trouble-free return, it was not all smooth going as some children had to self-isolate because of classmates or even teachers having coronavirus.
In Liverpool, eight schools saw positive coronavirus cases with hundreds of pupils isolating.
