Harvey Elliott's fantastic gesture to a young Liverpool fan left him crying tears of happiness.
Elliott is currently recovering from ankle surgery after suffering a horrific injury against Leeds United and was spotted at Anfield to cheer on his teammates during the draw against Brighton in the Premier League on Saturday.
The 18-year-old has quickly established himself as a fan favourite on the Kop and continues to endear himself to supporters with his gestures off the field.
On the day of the Brighton game, Harvey meet Harry, 11, to spend a few minutes with the young Liverpool fan and handed over a signed shirt as well as his personal embroidered New Balance boots.
"He was in floods of tears with happiness - so overcome with emotion," Harry's dad told the ECHO.
"I couldn't believe how kind Harvey was. He also singed Harry’s Liverpool shirt! When we got back in the car the first thing Harry did was take it off to keep it clean as I am going to get it framed for him along with his boots. Just an unbelievable day
"Harry said to me it was the best day ever!"
Harry's aunty Michelle told the ECHO: "The whole world has been through some very difficult times during the pandemic.
"Its so reassuring to know their are still kind people out there who want to help each other. This has certainly lifted my families spirits."
Harry like all Liverpool fans can't wait to see Elliott back in action at Anfield and the club confirmed post-surgery that he is expected to feature for Jurgen Klopp's team again this season.
