What Harry Maguire did in the dressing room after Man Utd's win over Leicester

Harry Maguire came back to haunt former club Leicester as he helped Manchester United to 1-0 win at the weekend.

But it didn't stop him taking a trip into the visitors' dressing room at Old Trafford after the match to catch up with his former team-mates.

Maguire, who was jeered and booed by Foxes fans on his first appearance against the club he left for a huge £80million fee in the summer, put in another rock-solid display in defence.

It left Leicester unable to hit back after Marcus Rashford's early penalty, with the likes of Jamie Vardy and James Maddison kept quiet by their former team-mate.

Midfielder Hamza Choudhury revealed after the game that Maguire went to visit the Leicester squad after the game to catch-up with former colleagues and wish them all the best.

“He’s been in the changing room chatting with the boys. It’s nice," Choudhury told LeicestershireLive.

“We’re mates, so everyone is happy to see him doing well here, but we’re just concentrating on ourselves and trying to put things right.”

Maguire also took to social media with message wishing his former club good luck for the remainder of the season, sharing a picture shaking hands with former boss Brendan Rodgers.

The England centre-back has made an instant impact since his long-awaited switch to Old Trafford, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer detailing before Saturday's game just how he has hit the ground running.

"I think he’s been brilliant, I think he’s come into the dressing room and been a leader," said Solskjaer.

"He’s also a leader on the pitch and I’m sure he’s looking forward to playing against his old team. Now he’s here he’s going to be a big part of the future of this club.

"We’ve watched him enough to know he’s the guy we wanted, that’s why we spent the money we did on him. Leicester didn’t want to lose him.

"He’s definitely a character and personality that can be captain of a big club.

"In the dressing room he’s a leader both by performances, stature and behaviour.

"He’s a character you’d like to follow; some are technical leaders, some are leaders by voice, but he’s got the lot."
