What Harry Kane did the minute Spurs sealed their incredible Champions League win over Man City

Tottenham Hotspur are celebrating one of the greatest nights in their history after knocking Manchester City out of the Champions League to seal a semi-final date with Ajax.

Leading 1-0 from the first leg, the two Premier League titans exchanged blows at the Etihad Stadium in a seven-goal thriller that was full of drama and plenty of twists.

Five goals were exchanged over the course of 21 first-half minutes, before Sergio Aguero put City ahead for the first time in the tie in the second period.

Ex-referee explains why VAR let Fernando Llorente's 'handball' stand but denied Raheem Sterling

However, Fernando Llorente bundled home from a corner and Raheem Sterling was denied a hat-trick and a winning goal at the death by VAR, meaning Tottenham sealed a spot in the Champions League semi-finals for the first time in their history.

One familiar face was not there though as Tottenham striker Harry Kane was forced to miss the match after hobbling off from the first leg last week, with the likelihood that the England skipper will be unavailable until the end of the season.

That did not stop Spurs' leading man celebrating a memorable victory though, as he shared a post on social media following a dramatic evening in the north west.

Posting a video on social media with the caption 'OMG I love you boys!', Kane celebrated the win just like any other passionate fan - despite the certain despair he has for missing the game.
