The new season also presents a fresh opportunity for those on the fringes of the first-team to become Liverpool’s “surprise star” in 2021/22.
Harvery Elliott, Kostas Tsimikas and Naby Keita are all in the running, after impressing in pre-season.
Likewise, several of Liverpool’s youngsters will be bidding for a breakthrough campaign, after being given the chance to audition for Jurgen Klopp this summer.
