Remembering Sir Rod Stewart's huge party with Leeds United legends Peter Lorimer and Eddie Gray at Elland Road

We are taking a look back to the time three great Scots Peter Lorimer, Eddie Gray and Sir Rod Stewart had a great time together at Elland Road in 2011.

The Leeds United greats were delighted to catch up with Sir Rod, 75, when the crooner played a massive stadium show in the city.

When the showman arrived at Elland Road he posed with the two former Scottish internationals who presented the Celtic fan with two Whites shirts. One said Rod on the back and the other Stewart.

Thousands crammed into Leeds United’s stadium for the massive concert and Sir Rod proved to be ever the showman as he stomped around the stage performing some of his biggest hits.

On the night, there were a nice mix of football shirts spotted in the crowd and fans even bought themselves some Sir Rod scarves from the merchandise stalls.

The setlist on the night consisted of Sir Rod favourites and covers of classics such as This Old Heart of Mine by The Isley Brothers and It’s a Heartache by Bonnie Tyler amongst others.

You can see the setlist below.

Down the years, Elland Road has welcomed some other big musical names for gigs with Queen, U2 and Happy Mondays performing. Last year, Kasier Chiefs headlined a major day of music at Leeds United's home to mark the club's centenary.

Hopefully, in the future we'll see more big names play summer outdoor gigs at the home of the Whites.
