What happened to Young Ma? He faces privacy breach as former partner shares private footage

Young M.A. has been through it this year. She spoke out after an old video from a hospital stay was leaked by an ex. She made it clear on her Instagram that she’s not happy about the video being shared, calling it “foul,” but she’s also not ashamed of her past health struggles.

In a series of Instagram videos, Young M.A. addressed the situation directly. She said she’s disappointed that someone would do something like that and that she never knew this was her ex’s “character.” She also told fans that she’s already talked about her health journey in her music, and she has “owned” it.

In deleted reels found by The Shade Room, Young M.A. emphasized that she’s “very healthy” now and doing well, and her supporters know that she’s good now. Meanwhile, her ex, who goes by @itsselfmade on Instagram, has been in her own back-and-forth online with critics. She claims she helped nurse Young M.A. back to health when she was sick and that the rapper was jealous and controlling.

Young M.A. has been through it

The ex said she “cleaned” Young M.A. when she was “pooping” on herself in the hospital and at home. She said she left the rapper because she felt like she was being held back. Young M.A. responded to this by saying she could “air a lot of things out” but that it’s not her “character” to do so. The whole situation has fans weighing in, with many backing Young M.A. and calling the ex’s actions “nasty work”.

This isn’t the first time Young M.A.’s health has been in the public eye. Back in 2023, fans were really worried after her barber posted a video of her. In the clip, she had noticeable bald spots and her eyes looked yellow, which can be a sign of jaundice. After the speculation blew up, she addressed the health concerns in her song Watch in January 2024, where she opened up about her recovery and directly talked about the viral video. In the song, she said, “Thought that I was dying when they seen me with those yellow eyes… Surprise m*******s, I’m alive. God wasn’t finished with me/ Got some more s to do.”.

Young M.A. is talented, and she could probably keep up with the greatest K-Pop rappers of all time. However, it seems even talent can’t keep you from leaks. The amount of money she is probably spending to stay healthy may be a bigger hit than we think. She could probably have the opportunity to rival Cardi B’s net worth if not for down payments.

It sounds like she’s been dealing with a lot, and it’s something she’s been open about in her music. Her 2023 single Open Scars also touched on her health struggles and battles with addiction, where she talked about her journey to sobriety. She’s said that she felt like she let down her family and fans. Young M.A. has been very clear that she’s not ashamed of what she went through, even though she described it as a “dark” and “unfortunate moment” in her life.

One Instagram user @kingoftrainers said, “Nah sharing that video is nasty work! Happy she is better now though 🙏🏿,”. Another user named @veebanxx called it their “pet peeve” when someone helps you and then “use[s] it against you”. It seems like most people agree that what the ex did was a low blow, regardless of the relationship drama. The general vibe is that it’s just wrong to share such a vulnerable moment with the public.

Young M.A. herself has said that she’s just going to “let God handle it,”. She’s focused on moving forward and seems ready to get back to making music. It’s a tough situation, but it sounds like she’s handling it with a lot of grace and maturity. She has been focusing on her recovery since then and seems to be in a much better place now.
