After eight episodes of Colton Underwood’s season of The Bachelor, many fans have become fixated by what hasn’t been shown on screen. We’ve spent weeks awaiting Colton’s dramatic fence jump, only for ABC to repeatedly tease the moment and then fail to deliver.
There’s also the mysterious case of a missing scene featuring eliminated contestant Hannah B., who was sent home in Week 7. If you recall from the mid-season preview, it’s implied that Hannah B. would receive a fantasy suite date, as she can bee seen following Colton into a hotel room. In the clip, Colton is wearing the same jacket and scarf that he wore during his hometown date with Hannah G. in Birmingham, Alabama. That scene was never aired, and Hannah’s now off the show.
Even after Hannah’s exit, ABC was still teasing her involvement. At the 19-second mark of this Week 8 episode preview shared on Sunday, we can see a shot of Hannah B. walking across a parking lot.
According to Reality Steve, Hannah’s undocumented visit with Colton did occur while he was in Alabama meeting with Hannah G., but the footage was cut from Monday’s episode.
Hannah B., meanwhile, spent Monday sharing photos of the family members Colton would have met had he not eliminated her.
So what does this mean, exactly? There are so many possibilities:
- The footage hasn’t aired *yet* and we have the timeline wrong. That would mean that Hannah B. crashes a fantasy suite date in a far-flung locale, and that Colton wears the exact same outfit. Both unlikely.
- The meeting may just have been boring or uneventful, but there was a low bar to clear on Monday, as most of Colton’s dates were rather lame.
- Whatever Hannah B. said didn’t factor into Colton’s decision (again, seems unlikely)
- The footage could have impacted Hannah B.’s eligibility to be the next Bachelorette, somehow.
- The footage could have impacted Caelynn’s eligibility to be the next Bachelorette, somehow.
In any event, I hope we get some kind of explanation in the tell-all show (which is, again, unlikely).
