Emmerdale’s Priya (Fiona Wade) has had her world significantly shifted over the past few months since the maize maze fire.
Viewers will know that this incident left Priya with burns that she is still healing from.
Thursday night’s episode (December 16) saw Priya have a panic attack, which provoked an emotional response from many viewers.

What happened to Priya in Emmerdale?
Emmerdale fans will know about the catastrophic event in the maize maze fire, caused by Meena (Paige Sandhu).
The blaze left Andrea Tate (Anna Nightingale) dead and Priya with burns.
Not only are the after-effects of this traumatising event affecting Priya physically, but it is also affecting her mental health.
It was revealed by her doctor that the healing process for her burns has slowed down due to her lack of eating.
Emmerdale fans will know that Priya has struggled with an eating disorder.
And all this pressure built up, leading to a panic attack in the episode aired on December 16.
How did Emmerdale fans react to what happened to Priya?
Priya had initially worked up the courage to go to the Christmas event in Thursday's episode, with her daughter Amba (Ava Jayasinghe).
Priya’s dad, Rishi, stepped in to be Santa Claus (Bhasker Patel).
However, when arriving at the event, Priya started to feel self-conscious and anxious, leading her to have a panic attack and rush to leave - this rushed exit left Amba behind.
But viewers were sympathetic with their reaction to the scene online.
@RyanGTweetsTV tweeted: ‘’My heart breaks for Priya she is really struggling.’’
While @raining_purple added: ‘’Priya really isn’t coping and I hope someone recognises this and helps her to see she needs professional support.’’
Priya missed the opportunity to tell her dad how she is struggling with recovering from her healing process.
One frustrated fan said on Twitter it was up to other characters to help her.
Pamela, tweeting from the handle @moore95_pamela, wrote: ‘’Priya's understandably struggling. Can't people see it for goodness sake.’’
Towards the end of the episode, we saw Ellis (Aaron Anthony) bring Amba home to Priya, where she broke down and told him her struggles.
Ellis clearly seemed to still care for her.
Will this mean a possible rekindling of their romance?
