'What happened to common sense?' - Nottingham Forest fans react as Worrall's 'opener' is ruled out

The City Ground erupted to the tune of a goal.

Nottingham Forest had taken a lead - Joe Lolley's corner had been nodded into the QPR goal by Joe Worrall to put Forest up.

As the fans screamed, the QPR goalkeeper suddenly signalled back to the goal. His team rushed back and the referee symbolised that the corner kick was to be retaken.

To say that Forest were bemused and confused is to say little.

On a second glance, it appeared that the strong winds blowing in from the Trent-side had rolled the corner ball back into the quadrant - enough for referee Robert Jones to chalk the opener off.

For the fan at home, it was easy to see why the goal was removed - but Forest fans in the stadium were left confused.

Here's just a small slice of the reaction from the watching Reds.

Josh: They hate us.

Matthew: The ball blew backwards where is the advantage?

@FOREST45152358: What happened to common sense, the Ref's are pretty poor!

Egor: To be fair, it was a moving ball. Just disappointing.

Stefan: Get the sand bucket out.

@RXSDABTW: Another rigged game.

@NFFC_NEWS: Rigged? It was a moving ball.. right to rule it out in all fairness.

Peter: So how long do you have to wait for the wind to stop. Sometime in May?

Joseph: It's the right descision but how many times do we see linesman ignore the fact it's not on the line
