What happened to Billy Gilmour and Olivier Giroud in Chelsea training ahead of Sheffield United

Olivier Giroud and Billy Gilmour may want to forget the latest Chelsea training session in a hurry.

The duo are available for the Blues' Premier League clash with Sheffield United on Sunday, but it remains to be seen if either will be in new head coach Thomas Tuchel's plans.

Gilmour - who was tipped to leave on loan during the January transfer window - hasn't made a single matchday squad since the change of manager.

Whilst Giroud started the goalless draw against Wolves in what was Tuchel's first game in charge, but was an unused substitute for wins over Burnley and Tottenham Hotspur.

But the games are coming thick and fast for Chelsea.

Next week they're back in FA Cup action against Barnsley and also have the small matter of a UEFA Champions League round of 16 first-leg tie with Atletico Madrid before the month is out.

As a result, Tuchel will likely need to make full use of his talented Blues squad and that could mean more game time for Giroud as well as some involvement for Gilmour in the coming weeks.

However, both players didn't have much to shout about in Friday's training session.

Ahead of the game against the Blades, the likes of Tammy Abraham, Mason Mount, Kai Havertz, Hakim Ziyech, and N'Golo Kante were put through their paces at Cobham.

At one point, Giroud and Gilmour were in the middle for a rondo drill as they attempted to win the ball back before a certain number of passes were completed.

Unfortunately, both players suffered the humiliation of being nutmegged.

As spotted in a 'Chelsea Unseen' training session video uploaded to YouTube at around the 2.13-minute mark, Ben Chilwell puts the ball through Giroud's legs.

And a couple of seconds later, Reece James does the same to Gilmour.

The double nutmeg prompted a massive reaction from the Chelsea squad.

Kai Havertz put his hand on his head, there were some screams from others, while James and Kurt Zouma celebrated by shoulder bumping each other.

Yet the funniest reaction came from Abraham as he had a mini song and dance to taunt his teammates.
