What happened on Love Island last night? One couple kisses as another implodes

The Love Island villa was treated to one couple taking the next step, another going on a date while a third relationship hits the wall.

Anna Vakili has finally looked like she will find a partner with the arrival of Jordan Hames and they sealed their budding romance with a kiss.

The pair have been growing close in recent days after meeting on a date after Anna was not chosen during the last recouplng.

Things heated up during Wednesday night's instalment of the ITV2 show when they locked lips after a cosy chat on the swing seat.

Anna was left single when Sherif Lanre exited the show but her luck her taken a turn for the better and she was impressed by Jordan's kissing skills.

"Oh my God, he is such a good kisser," she told the other girls.

However, not everyone's love life was doing so well, with Lucie Donlan in tears over the departure of Joe Garratt and Danny Williams questioning Yewande Biala's feelings for him.

The trouble started when Danny told some of the other contestants he was not sure Yewande really liked him.

Curtis Pritchard later quizzed Yewande about it, telling her Danny was unsure about how she felt.

"That is the only frustrating thing with Danny," said Yewande.

"I just feel like he always needs reassurance. I'm not going to tell you every day that I really like you and that I find you attractive.

"It's never going to happen."

With Yewande and Danny heading into a cul-de-sac, Michael Griffiths and Amber Gill headed out of the villa and onto their first date together.

The pair have become a firm favourite with viewers and they tentatively told each other that they are both smitten.

Geordie girl Amber has had a tough exterior but she seems to be melting in the heat of her romance with Michael, though she did point out that he had the face of someone that could break hearts.

Time will tell, no doubt.

The show closed with the news that another contestant - model Arabella Chi - will be moving into the villa and Curtis Pritchard's face dropped at seeing her.

*Love Island airs all week at 9pm on ITV2.
