What happened between Willian and Tammy Abraham during Chelsea training ahead of Crystal Palace

Competition at Chelsea is fierce.

Not just for a place in Frank Lampard's starting line-up, but also on the training ground as displayed by Willian and Tammy Abraham ahead of the game against Crystal Palace this afternoon.

The pair are likely to start as the Blues look to return to winning ways following that Champions League 4-4 draw against Ajax in midweek.

They'll be hoping to make it six Premier League wins in a row against the Eagles in the day's early kick-off.

Ahead of the game at Stamford Bridge the likes of Christian Pulisic, Mason Mount, Fikayo Tomori, Mateo Kovacic and N'Golo Kante were put through their paces at the club's training base in Cobham.

And there was a situation developing between Willian and Abraham.

As spotted in a behind the scenes of Chelsea's training session video uploaded to the club's YouTube page, Abraham managed to put the ball through the Brazil international's legs.

Of course, Willian wasn't going to let that pass without retaliation.

Moments later he got Abraham back and whilst the Blues striker was complaining about getting nutmegged, Willian was pointing to the camera operator to ensure the moment was captured.

Victory for the west London outfit would see them move into second place in the Premier League table, albeit temporarily, but Lampard isn't paying too much to the standings.

"We are looking in the mirror at ourselves. Up or down aren’t always things you can control, what will be will be," the Blues head coach told reporters. "They might have their problems or strong points, or whatever.

"What we have to do is look at ourselves week in and week out.

"Look at Crystal Palace tomorrow, go away for the international or a little break and then come back and play Manchester City. Every week brings a challenge.

"At the moment we are pretty happy with what we have done, but I think we can get a lot better.

"We shouldn’t look too much at anywhere else other than within."
